    stuff that is happening
So, it has been a really long time since I have posted.  But the most recent thing that has happened is, I got laid off from my job last Friday.  But Tim and I went on a biking weekend that we had planned for a while with Jim and Amy G.  So we went, had a good time, I rode my furthest yet 24 miles, and did well, but had a fever off and on the whole day.  So went to bed but felt somewhat better in the morning.  Now I am just working on school stuff, and also making a list of stuff I need to do to find another job.  I got 2 weeks severance pay and have insurance until the end of August, but that is it.  I can't file for unemployment because the school is under a church charter and are not required to pay into unemployment, so I am out of luck there.  So any and all prayers are appreciated.  There are many other things going on with me personally, that God and I are working on.  I am relying on Him to get me and the family through this.  So that is a quick update. Love you all!

    Clothes are way to big!
I finally couldn't stand it anymore and went out and bought two pair of capri's that actually fit me.  The ones I wore to work yesterday have a drawstring, and If it came undone, they would fall off me.  I am wearing size 18 now.  I don't remember when the last time was that I wore that size.  I can't even believe that I am finally doing this.  (Thanks Chrissy for getting me motivated).  I also can buy my tops in the misses department, size large.  YEAH!  This goal of my actually seems like I might reach it.  Now I have to get back to my reading for my class.

    Changes again!
So, here I go again, finally making a post.  Dorothy made it to Spain OK.  She is staying with Carlos' Family.  I'll let her tell the story when she gets the internet.  On our end, it has been weird not having her around again.  I miss you Dorothy!  I thought I wouldn't miss you until about week number 3, but I was wrong.  So, I was really busy before Dorothy left, making sure she had everything she needed.  Now, I've been vegging out on the couch reading my counseling homework, and writing a paper.  Now I'm procrastinating on taking my Midterm.  But it isn't due until a week from Sunday.  I'm ahead in the work, cause I'm trying to keep my mind busy so as not to miss Dorothy.  Tim and I have also been praying about where to go to church "AGAIN"  We really feel that God has something for us to do, but it is not where we are going to church.  So the search is on again.

God is really working on me with this counseling class.  I know now that this is what I need to continue with.  I'm getting confirmation every where I turn.  I just don't know where or what to do after I get the associates degree.  There are so many options.  So I need prayer for that.  I guess that is about it.

Chrissy, I'm praying for you and that little boy to arrive soon!  Bekah, I'm praying for you to get over your cold. (If you want us to take Eowynn for awhile tomorrow, let me know)  Dorothy, again, I miss you and am praying for you and your new adventure.

    Hancock
Oh my goodness, you must see Hancock.  There is so much to the movie.  While I was watching I was thinking - what would Travis have to say about this?  There would be much discussion, I'm sure.  That is all I'm saying until others have seen it and wish to discuss it.  I'm still processing parts of it right now.

    Almost done with Biology
A little update. I AM ALMOST DONE WITH BIOLOGY. I am so glad. only one more week. I just started a theology class also, I like this one. Tomorrow we are heading to Chicago for Dorothy's appt. with the Spanish Consulate to get her student visa. Had fun these past couple of days watching Eowynn walk all over the place. (Also having fun watching Josh and Bekah watch Eowynn walk all over the place). Went to David Gardner's graduation party. Very happy for him! Now I'm going to veg in front of the TV, then go to bed.

    Just stuff
My update will also kind of merge into Bekah's update. I had an interesting day yesterday too! The work situation is still a battle zone as in Spiritual Battle, but yesterday hopefully was a breakthrough in that. I had a very emotional day at work, but it will get easier I pray. That is all I will say about that!

I left work early, cause I need to use some vacation so I also took today off too. I went home to take a nap, I was up at 4am to go to work, I got a great 2 hr nap, when Dorothy came in and told me Bekah wanted me to go to the emergency room with her and Ewoynn. We had a nice visit! HA Read Bekah's post for those details. Then we watched Ewoynn when Bekah went to her Dr. appt. That was about it for me, but I was also very exhausted by the end of the day. I went to bed again at about 9:30. Now I am refreshed again, and getting stuff down around the house. I finished all of my Biology for the week, and I am looking forward to tomorrow when we will help with Jeremy & Naomi's wedding, and enjoy good times with friends. By the way any of you who know the Kunkles, Pray for Susie, as she is doing a lot to get ready for the wedding in her backyard, and she has a really bad cold. She needs healing and strength. Thanks!

    my update
So I haven't written on this for a long time. Probably because I have been really busy. Dorothy will be home this weekend, I'm looking forward to that. I started one of my summer classes (Biology) I think I am going to like it. A surprise to myself. I have started riding my bike again, still like that. Tim has given up driving all together, because of his eyesight, also he has been suffering from chronic back pain, and is currently receiving shots in his spine to see if that helps, Bekah and Josh are preggers again, a boy this time, Eowynn will be 9months old soon and it has been so fun watching her grow, I am looking for a new job, but I think God wants me to stay at my present job for now, maybe until I finish my degree. So that is the short list of stuff, Oh yeah, trying to lose another 50 pounds. That is probably the hardest thing I am doing right now.

    just an update
I was checking my final grades for this past semester and I was so excited that I got an "A" in my math class. I thought I had a low B, but I had 3 a's and 1 b. And a 3.75 grade point average. To say the least, I was happy. Still am. I just bought my books for next semester. I was looking over all of my stuff, and I only need about 15 more credits to get my associates degree. I didn't realize I was so close.

There has been so much going on in this household, that there is to much to write. Maybe my next post will be a list, like Chrissy does. When I have time to come up with it.

    Stuff and more stuff
I haven't posted in a while. I've been pretty busy with my school work, my work and at a school, and Dorothy is home, but I'm driving her back tonight after I get off work. And Gretchen moved in. Its nice to have her here. The room smells much better then when Sean lived in it. I do miss Sean, but not the smell. This weekend we get to see Sean and Jamie. We will have a weekend with them up in Holland after we pick them up from the Detroit Airport on Friday morning and drive up to Holland. Then on Sunday, back to Detroit Airport, then we will come home. So like I said, we've been pretty busy, but all good stuff. I am ahead in my school work, so I don't feel to pressured there. That is about it. Off to get Dorothy's hair cut.

    Life is still interesting
I had a great time today riding my bike with my good friends. I went 14 miles, and hopefully I will be able to ride at least 2 more miles the next time I ride. I want to work up to be able to ride with Tim on one of his rides out to Secor Park and back. Then we all had a picnic dinner back here at our house. Got to talk to Dorothy on the phone, and on the computer. Haley got to talk to Dorothy. It is so strange not to have any of our kids living at home. But it is also good to talk to them almost every day. Well, I guess that is the end of the boring post. I'm going back to some more math homework. Tootles

So this weekend was another for goodbyes for our family. Friday night was the graduation of the International Youth Academy. This was only the second time in very many years that I've seen Dorothy cry. First it was Travis and Chrissy leaving, this time it was her international brothers Hayoon and Carlos. Amongst all of the other friends she made from Spain, China, Korea and Japan. Saturday morning was goodbye to Hayoon. We cried, he said he loved me and wanted to come back to United States. This morning we said goodbye to Carlos, and cried again. I am tired of goodbyes, but I know more are coming in the next two weeks. All of this is bittersweet, because we know that life is moving on, and everyone is going on to grow and learn more, so I guess that is about it. I'm done crying for the day. Tomorrow is another day!

    Birthday stuff
So, we have been really busy, but Sean and Jamie came a for a visit, so Tim and I took a day off. Yeah! And, We are getting ready to go on my first bike ride for a really long time, with my new bike. It is so cool. (The bike that is) Tim researched new bikes with new technology and he found one that he thought would be good for me, because of my knees and all. I went and test rode it yesterday after work, and we bought it. So I am going on a ride to wildwood and the U trail this morning, then home to spend time with the newlyweds. Yeah, for birthdays!!!!!
